40 YEARS OF SUCCESS OF AKMAN TEXTILE IN CURTAINS
Akman Textile has been established by M. Mahir AKMAN in Sultanhamam – the heart of the Turkish textile sector – in 1978, and it is being professionally managed by a Board of Directors, composed of Vehbi AKMAN, Alparslan AKMAN and A. Kürşat AKMAN, who are the second generation of the company. Akman Textile has accomplished a major innovation in the curtain sector in 1985 by importing French guipure lace curtains to Turkey from France. In 1995, it has become the pioneer of a new style by presenting its crush (crinkle) curtain collection under the Pinella trademark to the Turkish market.
It has established integrated production facilities of 20,000 sqm indoor area at Çorlu, Tekirdağ in 1993. Akman Textile has become stronger and grown further upon the opening of its production facilities. It has acquired an important place in the curtain and home textiles sector. In 2006, it has launched the Ecobella trademark and created home textile collections that offer finished products directly to the consumers.
Akman Textile has started the production of roller blinds and zebra fabric curtains for the mechanical curtain sector in 2009. It has become one of the pioneers of a brand new style in the Zebra curtain sector by the studies it has conducted. Today, it is included among the limited number of leading manufacturers in the world by the innovations it has brought to mechanical curtain production at its fully integrated facilities.
Akman Textile has assumed the principle of maintaining its sector leader position, by following up on technology and fashion closely. Today, it operates both in the domestic and the international markets by its experienced staff and exports to 50 countries in 3 continents. And, it continues to develop further by a service understanding that attaches particular importance on honest and qualified communication with its business partners.
